I am personally quite a lottery nut and have bought many books on how to be the system, never won much , but I must say I do win small amounts. The question I want to find out is , if one chooses a set of numbers and sticks to those numbers through out the year will you have a better chance of winning a larger amount ?

Good question. The simple answer is “No”, you do not have a better chance of winning a larger amount by sticking to the same numbers. Equally you do not have a worse chance either. Every draw is an independent event. What numbers you have chosen before has no bearing on any particular draw. Whether you win or not is pure chance each time with the odds against being the same every time.
